DESCRIPTION:Between 17 and 18 March set aside time to attend some of the 24 hours for Lord at the Mt Schoenstatt Shrine in Mulgoa; an opportunity for silence\, adoration\, and mercy. For over fifty years the Shrine has watched over Sydney as a place of grace\, and a sign of love for the Blessed Mother. One of over 200 replica Shrines around the world\, the Schoenstatt Shrine offers three graces to pilgrims: (1) the grace of being at home (2) the grace of inner transformation and (3) the grace of missionary zeal. \nThe 24 hours begins with Holy Mass at 6pm on Friday 17 March\, and concludes with Holy Mass at 5pm on Saturday 18 March. Confessions will take place after Mass on Friday (approx. 6.30 to 10pm) and before Mass on Saturday (approx. 3pm to 4.30pm). The other hours will be filled with silence or quite background music. \nTea\, coffee\, and snacks will be available to purchase throughout (cash & credit available). \nPlease commit yourself to an hour with the Lord and his Mother\, and why not bring someone with you? There is no need to register. Please spread the word.

More in faith\, more in friendship\, more in… Why not “Come and See”! \n  \nThe Schoenstatt movement is inviting married couples and their children to an information evening around the concept of ‘family groups’. To be held on Saturday 4 November (7pm-8.30pm) at St Michael’s Parish Meadowbank. This information evening is specifically focused on starting a family group in the Meadowbank/Ryde area. \nThe Schoenstatt movement has been running family groups in Australia for over 60 years and such groups exist to support the spiritual and religious growth of married couples and their families. In today’s challenging society\, often hostile to faith\, marriage and family\, a Schoenstatt family group can be a great support in strengthening and supporting marriage and families with a real plan for grace and sanctification. Each group journeys together as a small community\, where couples support one another while their children make friends with other children in a faith-filled environment. \nThe session will be led by Sr Elizabeth Foley\, a Schoenstatt Sister of Mary\, with current family group members who will share how the Schoenstatt movement and family groups have helped them. There is no further obligation after the gathering but couples wanting more for their families are most welcome to continue the journey. \nThe event is free\, but registration is requested.
