Hundreds of People braved the rain to honour Our Lord on Good Friday as they prayed the Stations of the Cross at Mount Schoenstatt.
Starting in the Valley the long procession wound its way up the hill to the Shrine. Different participants took turns to carry the cross. A prayerful atmosphere amongst the crowd despite the rain, added to the solemnity of this event.
Before Fr. Paul gave a final blessing at the Shrine, thanks were expressed to the organisers, the readers, and volunteers, and particularly to the family who generously provided the sound system. There was then a steady stream of visitors to the Shrine – people waited patiently for their turn to spend some time with Our Lord and his blessed Mother on this important day in our liturgical calendar.
