I am happy to share with you a little about our Annual May Pilgrimage which took place at Mt Richon, WA on Sunday May 7, 2023 to honour Our Blessed Mother. We had a rosary procession and the recommissioning of our Pilgrim Mother Coordinators and despite the cold windy weather, a gathering of around 135 people came – a beautiful expression of our love for the Blessed Mother.
Deacon Errol Lobo from St Francis Xavier Parish, Hilbert, led our Rosary procession. Two young girls followed the Deacon, scattering flower petals in front of the MTA as she was carried around the rosary path. Everyone followed reciting the rosary and singing “Ave Maria” between each decade.
When everyone had returned to their seats we listened to three Reflections by Fr Kentenich on our theme “Blessed Are You Who Believed,” (Lk 1:45) after which all were invited to bring flowers for Our Blessed Mother.
Two new Pilgrim Mother Co-ordinators were commissioned – Pat Halligan and Philomena Theseira – and Deacon Errol then re-commissioned all the other Co-ordinators in attendance. All the PMA Shrines were blessed and sent out anew. Our celebration concluded with Benediction.
Afternoon tea and fellowship at Emilie House followed and we heard positive echoes from those in attendance. Some co-ordinators had brought members from their circles and they commented that they were so glad they came. It was truly an uplifting and blessed day.
